East Peterburg Borough Water has begun using our City Interconnection with Lancaster to supplement our water supply. Please be aware that Lancaster Water Authority uses fluoride as one of its treatment processes. Fluoride is added to drinking water as a public health measure to help prevent tooth decay. Fluoride addition is not required for water safety. The drinking water being supplied continues to meet all state and federal primary drinking water standards and remains safe to drink. There are no adverse health effects associated with this notification. Customers concerned about dental health, including parents of young children, may wish to consult their dentist or healthcare provider regarding the use of fluoride.
